Yes they certainly are expensive ...

F4 - I wish - my 50+yo back and wrists aren't up to and F4 any longer - or not for more than about 30 mins at a time, anyway.

But I'm thinking about a Brutale 1090RR (along with about 6 other options). I'm such an indecisive "girls blouse" on this topic

Loved the F4 but if I was going italian I had to go for a V-Twin! such lovely sound and torque...

I do prefer the look of the brutale over the monster though. What are the other 6 options

No Doubt about it, the F4 is a fine thing - was voted the "most beautiful bike in the world", a year or so back. The F3 is also an outstanding looking bike - love those triple pipes

The other options are Speed Triple, K1300R, K1300S, Sprint GT, and my heart wants to include the Benelli R160 (but my head says "DON'T DO IT").

I couldn't use a Speed Triple R, so the extra $ would be wasted.

Given this is a weekend only toy, I can't really justify spending big $'s on it. And, I'm not getting any younger. So in all practical terms, the Sprint GT is probably the front runner. At $15K OTR, it's about $10K less then some of the others, and is quite a bit more relaxed and protected riding position.

That's today! Ask me again tomorrow, and I'm certain the aswer will be different.....

MV Agusta...

Although I'm sure I remember original 7 series exhaust systems costing about that much several years ago!
