What height is better for track use?

So I am looking to possibly buy some tires fro track use and was wondering what would be ideal for track use.

if I was to run 215 and 245 (stock sizes) would 215/35/18 be good or would 215/40/18 be better? Same question for the rears.

215/40 would be the proper size you would need for 18" wheels. 35 would be too thin.

215/40/18 rim width range is between 7-8.5". Though this goes give off a stretch, it does still fall within the range.

215/40 is actually a stock size that came from BMW.

Ideal for track use would be 255 up front and 275 in rear. Does it fit on wheel in questions without some fender work? Hell no. But you asked for "ideal"

I would go at least 235/40 18 and 255/35

I am asking for the height of the tire not width. I want to know if 225/40/18 is ideal or 225/35/18 or 225/30/18

225/40 would be the proper ratio.

245/35 but there are only a few tires that size, so probably 255/35.

If you want track wheel and tire combo, I'll sell you mine for $400.

225/40-18 Kumho V710, MODA 18x8
245/40-18 Kumho V710, MODA 18x9

Fits stock suspension, but you need over -1.8 camber rear.
