Thank you guys, it is really appreciated.

I have a job on the burner at the moment, so we'll see how it turns out. Now that my notice period is '0 days'; it could be very promising.

In terms of the car... I need to make one more lease payment before i can claim my lease protection insurance (up to 6 months of lease payments taken care of in time of unemployment). So if i don't have a job by Jan 1, then i'm onto insurance. As an urge to everyone, if you have a lease, and this insurance is offered, TAKE IT! It could just be the difference between me having Christine next year and not. Very glad i took it out.

Rough time to do it - no warning. Asked to go for a beer with the General Manager at 4:30pm and whammo - redundant.

Sorry to hear mate. So many companies certainly have no regard for timing.

We have a large multi national in my area that's also performed a 'merry christmas and by the way, we have to let you go' to all it's staff.

What a christmas present. Hope it all works out for you soon.

Same thing happened to one of my Gym members... Been with HP at Ryde for 24 years, applied for a promotion..taken into office last thursday thinking it was about promo and was made redundant...BIG shock at 52 years old...

Thanks Cozza, trying my best! Crappy coming into Christmas, but we'll see how it turns out. Got to make the most out of it - a week off work!

alot of businesses are still struggling, you wouldn't know it from the back slapping krudd keeps giving himself, but its not all roses yet,

smart move with the lease insurance. well done. saves you selling your ass to keep christine.
