My car is shown as discharged from the port of NY at 8:22 today.
I do not know if it is on a truck or a train but it shoudn't be much longer till it gets here. The sooner the better.

Picked her up today. MAN is this a great car, totally surpassed my expectations in every way. Am I the first one on this ship to take delivery?

Anyway good luck to you all, I know none of you will be dissapointed. What a car!

Congrats! You're the first I've heard of to take delivery from Integrity's latest voyage.

My advisor estimated that mine might be here in around two weeks - Euro Delivery vehicles take a bit longer to go through customs and processing, and of course then mine has to get all the way to Texas.

Oooo, mine's not an ED... if yours is going to be 2 weeks, then mine might be 7-10 days! :roundel:

Congratulations! Mine was on the same ship and on the BMW site it still shows "in transit to preparation center". But I just saw on the boat tracking site that my car was discharged yesterday (14/08/2008 at 8:22). It should come to Huntington, Long Island, soon. But perhaps they deliver cars to Long Island by truck only once a week and I will have to wait until Friday!

I guess it took longer than kwanzto because of europen delivery.

But I had a blast driving it in Germany and especially Italy. The thumbs up by young BMW drivers were constant, and Porsche drivers were always pointing to it and smiling. Even a 128 is very rare in Europe, only saw 3 or 4 1 coupes in europe and were all 120 D. That's why I got all these thumbs up and smiles. Of course in the States I know that the reception will be very different!!

edit...

I'm not too far from your dealer in Huntington, I bought it in Smithtown, about 45 mins east. The car was at the dealer maybe 12 hours before it showed "At Dealer" on BMW's website. And I must say that the dealer was very accomidating. They called me at 7pm Thursday to tell me that my car arrived. I told them that I was withot a vehicle and that I needed to take delivery ASAP so I could stop bothering my friends for rides. They took care of evertying from insurance to registration before I even arrived. They had my dealer options installed, and the car ready for me to pick up the next morning at 11am. I was very impressed; and now I get to spend the weekend with the car.

The reception I've gotten so far has been good. You can see that what I'd call "car guys" (people with sports cars, or people with aftermarket parts) take notice of the car, and I've been closely followed by a number of other BMW's throughout the weekend. The car also drew a small crowd outside of a Starbucks in Port Jefferson. So people seem interested, that's for sure. It could be the sweet red leather :headbang:

yeah. Port Jeff-- I used to go eat lobster and drink some cold ones there by the ferry dock. Did my graduate studies at Stony Brook.

And you are right, the red interior rules. Both sport and modern and also retro as a classic sport car of the 60's. (Especially white and red, but I might be biased)

GigEm - Just curious, which dealership did you purchase through?

When I spoke to my SA last week he said my car would be routed from New Jersey to the distribution center in South Carolina, and then on to Dallas. Is yours going direct from NJ to DFW?

I'm actually going through Autoflex (plan to buy at end of lease), and their BMW supplier is Autobahn out in FtWorth. They found a car already on Integrity on the way to a dealership in SC that wasn't spoken for yet, so they had it transferred to Autobahn.

My car disembarked from Integrity in Charleston. Not sure why your car would disembark in NJ and then be transported to South Carolina anyway. Maybe things are different for ED redelivers?

Yeah, mine went through New Jersey after ED as well. I think it's something involving the fact that ED cars have to be inspected more thoroughly upon arrival in the U.S., since they're not coming straight from the factory. The NJ facility is supposedly better able to handle this compared to the SC facility.

Congrats fellas -- they're getting closer!

Has everyone on Integrity gotten their 1ers by now? I just picked mine up last night and it's even more beautiful than I remember from Germany
