135i Cost Calculation
I was bored at work today and since the 2009 pricing is available and I feel that I need to get serious about ordering my car, I decided to create a spreadsheet with a cost analysis of the 135i. (Yes, I am a dork.)
It compares ED and US MSRP and invoice pricing as well as financing and lease options. I'm still trying to figure out how the whole leasing thing works so my numbers could be off a bit in that area. Assuming that my calculations are correct, it could be useful to others so I thought I would share. You can change the numbers to meet your specific needs as to options, down payment, interest rate, taxes, etc. and it should calculate everything accordingly. If anyone sees any mistakes in my calculations please let me know so I can correct it. Edit: I updated the file. I noticed that in the leasing section, the payment information didn't change if you added a down payment. It updates now. |

I heard of some people getting as low as $500 over invoice. I haven't tried negotiating yet as I won't be ready to buy for a couple of months.
Here's an example of someone that got $500 over invoice. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15348 When it comes time for me to buy my car, I'll try the dealerships that some other members in my area have recommended. If they don't agree to my price, I plan on emailing all the dealerships in my area with the price I want to pay and see which one bites. |
