Oil light Warning on when car is off

Hello all.. new to this very informative forum. My wife is a new owner of a 2010 135i and is loving it. Unfortunately, I am new to bimmers as well (I drive a Landrover LR3) so slowly learning stuff about her ride. This forum has already helped me rig a backup camera on her car so I thought I run a question by you: Lately, when she turns to the car OFF, the oil can symbol will pop up on her message centre. She had an oil change less that 5k ago but when we run the self diagnostic check, it shows her oil levels are fine.. I am just stumped as to why the warning light comes over only after she turns off the car. Anyone else experience this? Thanks for your time.

Mine did that when the oil level as indicated by the electronic dipstick was low.
