Hood, skirts, and intake. For the skirts, I might suggest something like the chargespeed "Bottom Line" kit that they make the Mazda RX-8 - low profile and a nice touch to continue the CF all around the car. Should go well with the lip and diffuser.

Maybe a poll needs to be created with the current suggestions? Also it would help to put a estimated cost.. not an actual but estimated so people understand that the larger items do cost $$$ lol...

Ya, setup a poll and a estimate cost for all the items we have mentioned would be a good idea
Items I'd like to see would be: cf CSL Bootlid cf Roof cf Side Skirts cf Interior Trim cf Splitters for 128i |

I've also been interested in having a dry cf piece made to replace the glass panel of the sunroof. One that would maintain the functionality of the sunroof but shed some of that weight.

I've been toying with the idea of having one custom made but if I can get a company to make a small run of them it would cost me a lot less and could help out some others that would actually buy it.

Depending on how much they are and instilation dificulity I would be willing to bet that you would get a lot of people willing to buy.

We still plan to produce them down the line, but our main concern right now is some CF pieces for the 1. We'll keep you guys posted in reference to the wheels.

Its something to consider, however there will be ALOT of R&D on that one. Reason being there is no room for error on that, leaks, doors not closing right(pressure in cabin), and flushness will be an issue. Also, how would the motor react to a lighter weight object being moved back and forth. I think it would look sick as hell though! We're open to all ideas right now.

CF Mirror that replicates OEM with a lower $$$. Not cover replacements but the actual unit so it snaps in place.
Splitters would be nice too! |

The sunroof was done by another company at one point (I think EAS carried them). Anyway, it actually looked pretty cool and I guess it was a very simple install as well. They said it would only take about 10 minutes and require something like 4 screws to be removed. This might be a far simpler piece then it first appears.

Whatever you make, can you make something that fits the vert?
All of the vert parts on the market currently are trickle down items that happen to fit both the vert and the coupe. We are an untapped market, one that really would like some custom parts. But heres my list... 1) Skirts, I like the BMW perf ones, but I dont love em. 2) Bootlid, maybe CSL stlye, maybe something original? 3) Intake + Phlenom (not sure if thats how you spell it) But I want a full replacement, not something like the Dinan one which I can make in the machine shop in my uni. If you guys have a shop your friendly with in the tristate area id be more than happy to volunteer my car for test fittings. |
