Any ideas why?
Seems counter-intuitive...

Fog lights
Quote:
Or are you one of those a**holes who unnecessarily turn on fog lights, greatly inconveniencing those who follow you? Basically, fog lights should be turned on only in thick fog (= almost never). I wish cops would ticket fog lights abusers. |

He isn't talking about rear fogs.

Same here. The rest of the car is spotless but lots of brake dust.

Right.
Besides, I was talking about headlights... No mention of the rear... Some people are so testy...

You should activate your rear fogs though. Everything is wired up for them, you just need to trim tiny tabs off the switch.

I use my fog lights as DRLs. With angel eyes it looks just cool. Not a tailgater, but I do notice that the mean angels with a fog combo makes people move to the right if I come up behind them. They aren't very bright, have no effect on oncoming traffic and make me more visible. Plus I am saving my Xenons life hours for later....
Congrats on the new 128. If you need to, you'll find most of us in the 128 section....ranting and raving on the smoooooth inline 6. |

I tossed my useless fogs for weight savings and an improved front end. Rears I love for blasting tailgaters though. Pushes them right back.

Fog lights aren't useless in Seattle, unfortunately.

Back to the observations: As mentioned earlier, I found the armrest to be somewhat obstructive and thought it was a matter of getting used to. Nope. It still bugs me: I'm much more comfortable driving with the armrest propped up and out of the way... It seems to interfere with my natural shifting motion.

On your light control unit you have the headlight toggle knob on the left and the front fog light switch on the top right. Directly below the front fog light switch there is what appears to be a blank immovable switch. In reality it is your unlabeled rear fog switch, wired and completely ready for use. To enable the switch you remove the light control unit and cut off the 4 small plastic blocker plates on the switch that prevent it from being depressed. Simplely reinstall and click the button after that.

Another observation:
I didn't think I'd miss having a sunroof... I was wrong.

Haven't gotten any door dings (yet), but I sure wish the car had those moldings/rub strips along the perimeter of the car... I guess they're not in fashion anymore.
That said, the car is a whole lot easier to wax without them.

Mine came with it because it came with the premium package. I have never used it once.

All my previous BMWs had a sunroof and I used it quite a bit... They were pretty much standard equipment.
This time, I ordered my car from Leipzig and chose not to have one... Buyer's remorse.
