My Stage 1 Vargas turbos are being installed as we speak! Should get the car back tomorrow and hopefully no more smoke!

Any smoke? I got mine almost finished, waiting on a oil line to get shipped to me. Install was a bit of a pain, actually the removal of the turbos was a beast. The new ones didn't take long at all to install. Can't wait fr he line o get here.

Haven't seen any smoke so far. But the times I've driven it's been really windy, so its hard to tell. But the car feels awesome! I'm working with Pro Tuning Freaks to get a custom E-Tune, so I have to send them my logs tomorrow. Then it will feel even more awesome!

Drove it today and feels good! Need new tires, too much wheel spin at the moment. I'm running a JB4G5 on auto tune.

Well, I put new tires on, put 6 gallons of E85 and did a few pulls! I want to dyno but it will be some time before I can do that. But right now doing a 3rd gear pull starting at 30mph the car starts spinning at 40 to the point I have to lift to keep from going into the ditch. THIS BITCH RUNS!!!!!!!!!!

Love the Vargas Turbos!

I blow smoke at idle in traffic only on my way home from work. My wastegates don't rattle and my boost is spot on for jb4 map 5 as well as no signs of leaking around my turbo seals. I am fully catless, BTW. However, my car consumes oil like the dickens. Might take it to the dealer to further our knowledge of this problem. My dealer is totally mod friendly and my SA replaced my water pump and thermostat with FBO. Total breath of fresh air to hear "well you didn't modify the water pump did you?". "Then you're good on a warranty!" The way it should be.

Lmaiuri, your seal are done, mine did more or less the same thing. Your lucky to have a SA that is mod friendly. There are none of those in DFW. My SA said they would only replace the turbos if you have codes related to the wastegates.
So I said F'it and bought the VARGAS turbos and installed them myself.

Just got off the phone with the SA, looks like I'm getting a new set of snails at the price of a fidelity deductible ($100).

Ha yeah, first time I met my SA we traded stories about when he bought one of the first batch of manual 2007 e60 M5's. Also gave me the dealership's 335iS for a loaner while my water pump got replaced. Turns out the fidelity manager I spoke with in Florida used to be good buddies with the Service Adviser I happened to be closest to in Virginia and happened upon when looking for a repair. Divine intervention at it's finest with my e82.
