Quad exhaust.. ala 1M

So I know there are a couple of options to run a quad 'style' exhaust on the 135i.. and I know there are ways to allow a 1M style exhaust work on the 135i. (i.e.: change trunk floor, move evap canister etc) BUT Im a little lost with regards to diffusers. Can you run the 1M diffuser on a 135i? Is there a reasonably priced quad diffuser that ISNT carbon fiber? and DOESNT have those stupid fins (more stock looking) ? What is the best bet for that part of it?

Essentially I'd like to run the 1M style exhaust on my 135i. What ALL am I going to need to pick up to make this work?

You'd have to change the whole rear bumper to get a 1M diffuser to fit. Basically you'd have to get a 1M rear... but that's wider.. so it wouldn't fit on the car. The shape of the diffuser is just different on the 1M so it won't fit into your regular car.

Most quad exhausts on this car have the pairs of tips spaced further apart than the 1M version. I honestly like that look better, but I'm not sure if there's an option other than Inside performance where the tips are all closer together like on the 1M. The catch is that Inside Performance are in germany, and I'm not sure how to order for the US or Canada.

I think Hartge sells a non-CF diffuser for use with their quad exhaust. 3D design also makes a regular-looking quad diffuser:

Inside Performance is the only company i know of that makes an exhaust and diffuser for a more 1M looking exhaust setup, with the tips set in closer together. They offer a diffuser in plastic or CF.

That 3D design setup looks stellar! Thanks for the heads up.

As a temporary solution you could also cut a second outlet in the right side of the stock diffuser. I've seen pictures of this a few times and it looks great if you don't want carbon fiber or any fins.
