Tire build up & pulsating at track problem
So I went to my first track day. Was using my street tires (Mich pilot sport a/s3). On my last lap of the day on a large sweeping left turn it felt like my front passenger tire was pulsing. Almost felt like the tire wall was collapsing or something was wrong with the tire. I slowed down the rest of the way to the pit and noticed it more turning left than right. Upon stopping in the pits I did a visual inspection and didn't notice anything significant.
On my 3 hour drive home nothing felt that out of sorts. Next day I lifted the car to check the suspension components and everything seemed tight. Tires looked okay except for this rubber build up in the photo below. There was much more on the passenger side than the drivers side. Anyone ever experience this? and is it probably the cause of the pulsating on turns? Also, any suggestions on how to get it all off without spending hours scraping at it? |

You went off-line somehow and a hot tire will pick this stuff up. Go somewhere wet (like parking lot) and do circles in both directions to the point where tires start to skid. It'll come right off |

Yeah, it's just tire crud. If it builds up really badly, it'll create a mild shake/vibration. It'll wear off by itself just driving around.
