The 135i in the USA doesn't come with Logic7. The 135i comes with 10 speakers. The Logic7 has 13 including a center speaker. The 135i doesn't have a center speaker. I did alot of searching on this and I don't have the time now to go into details..................

Nordique14's point is actually valid, as the BMWUSA website has done some flip-flops. At first it said Logic7, then it didn't, but it again plainly states the available upgraded audio IS Logic7.

You find an aftermarket stereo set-up that is better and more afordable. I have a Logic 7 in my BMW and it is very good, but we install an Alpine stereo and new pioneer speaker in my wife's BMW and her system is a vast improvement over my logic 7 and it cost me $585.00

I thought the Harmon Kardon system in my old Mini was fantastic for Ģ350ish. |

It has a Harmon Kardon DSP multi channel amp with upgraded metal cone speakers. 4-4" woofer/mids 4-1.5" tweeters 2-8" subwoofers under the front seats. I sat in and looked at a 135i 2 weeks ago and was feeling under the seats. I did feel metal grills that covered the sub, but I can't imagine HOW? they get bass in such a small enclosure? Anyway, I don't think I will get the $875 Premium Hi-Fi until I can compare regular and Premium with a few of my CD's and can actually hear a big difference. Nowadays you can keep your factory head unit and the factory look, and add a better amp and speakers to greatly improve the sound. I WILL NOT change the head unit and the factory looks. I HATE changing the dash. It looks BAD. I read that the HD Radio option is really very clear and its free for the reception, unlike Sirius/XM radio. I had XM in my Acura and loved it, but $150 a year, NO thanks. |

Its not that big of a deal but I would like to be able to order the option and not have it sit in a stereo shop for a few days while the stereo get fitted...

Well I have the Professional Stereo system in my 120d (the same as is in the coupe here) and it has a Logic 7 logo on the Surround Sound settings screen. It also has 10 speakers, including 2 in-floor subwoofers and a graphic equaliser.
It may be that 'Logic 7' is a certification standard for HK and may require a 'central' speaker (as exists in the larger cars).... I don't know. The logo is there despite the words 'Logic 7' not appearing on any brochure or spec sheet... What I DO know is that is sounds terrific, which is all that matters Cheers, Paul |
