OBC does not show 1,200 mile service as first service?

My on board computer shows the time-to-service as 15,000 miles / 1 year from now. Isn't it supposed to be 1,200 for first service on a new car?

No. It is something you have to do on your own, plus you should not re-set your computer. BMW no longer feels it is necessary on non-M cars, but a lot of people (like me) think otherwise.
