You need projectors man, you're going to blind everyone and put oncoming drivers in danger. HIDs are not meant for regular-style headlights. Halogens reflect off of the housing inside, where projectors project light. With HIDs you'll be reflecting super bright light onto everyone. I suggest purchasing some Acura TFX projectors from eBay and retrofitting them. It's also illegal. I hate to say it but I just want you to be informed!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S2000...t_12176wt_1040 You need something like this. I can't imagine the headlights being easy to open. Probably have to be baked open. Run to an Acura dealership and ask the parts warranty fellow how much he wants for two projectors. I'm sure once you've bought them, they're yours. Then you can run the kit safety and legally.

The only way to run xenons legally is to install OEM parts. Hacking open the headlights and installing Honda lights with no provisions for self-leveling is barely a step above the eBay ricer kit.

Like i said, if you want to bake open your headlights to do the swap, then go the TFX route. If you want them OEM looking, you need to buy new headlights and have your vehicle re-flashed (if it can be done)

In order to retrofit xenons, you need to buy ride height sensors (with wiring harnesses), a new footwell module, and a new headlight switch. There's a kit and instructions listed in ASAP, but the prices aren't available.
If you're ordering a car, it doesn't make sense NOT to get xenons. It's only a few dollars more a month. If you bought used or were stuck with what was in inventory, there's really not much you can do. |
