Yeah, they've basically done everything they can to smooth out that engine, but it still feels like a coffee grinder in the higher rpm range.

Don't get me wrong, I think the VQ is an excellent V6 engine- however, as you guys know, they're imbalanced just because of what they are.

I personally would love to see an inline 6 TT in the Z. Get back to the roots. I don't think it's going to happen any time soon, though, as they seem to be moving to another iteration of the VQ for the next generation (2015).

What else do you now about SWIFT springs? What shocks do others pair them with?
They make them for e82 with BMW Perf susp and claim Msport Susp is fine as well, they thought of that too.

They're one of the highest regarded springs for the 370z platform. The ones they sell are crafted to specifically mate to the OEM shocks. They're considered a low to moderate drop. They don't compress enough to hurt the valving in the shocks any more than the standard springs, from what everyone has seen.

I couldn't recommend them enough. I'm not familiar with their e82 offerings, but they're a professional company with a large presence in professional racing.

Waoh, has been a while since I logged in, just wanted to see how it's going over here, and an update on the Z.

Still a great car, but the clunky gearbox is more annoying than I would have thought, especially going from first into second. Everything else, no regrets.

Also, I still have the programmer I purchased from AA when I got the tune for the 128i, and it's pretty much useless for me. I know it is mated to the ECU and normally can't be used for any other car, but if someone is interested, maybe you can touch base with AA to see if they can un-mate it for a fee, if you getting a tune. I have no use for it and would give it away, I would feel terrible throwing it out, as it was not cheap.

Nothing to lose I guess, if someone gets a AA tune and would like to talk the the guys at AA, maybe yo can get a good deal, just pay for shipping and it's yours.

Cheers everyone
