Sweet! The bulge on the hood looks much more pronounced than mine.....is it the fact that my glasses need changing or is it a different hood?

Is there a color code for this type of grey? Is it a BMW color?

Good question! I'm not sure if FibraFoil created the color without a reference or matched it to an existing color code, however since this is a two layered wrap I think they created the color by themselves. it's not exactly any existing BMW color btw.

Awesome wrap!

I think it looks crazy good in the trunk, it seems like there is some depth to the wrap.

I am forming an idea, that when my bsm is all chipped up I'm going for a laguna seca blue wrap.

You should do it BEFORE it gets all chipped up, keep the paint protected while you enjoy the LSB!

Excactly ! the depth is due to the double layered wrap which gives this effect.

If planning on visiting the Alps with your 1M, consider the Davos to Stelvio road. According to Top Gear it's "the greatest driving road in the world".

Hey Artemis, you should join me and Evolution80 (Andreas) for our Stelvio take two - tour. I think we will go sometime in Sept. We don't have any firm dates bc I want to see what everyone else thinks is best time wise. But I know Andreas and me will be going what ever days we decide!

ANYONE know who could do this in Denver? A LSB wrap? Also what's the upkeep on a wrap, is it harder to clean. I am just about at my wits end keeping the BSM looking nice.

--------------------------------------------------------

So i guess I wont be updating this thread with pix for a while...

I always wanted to do an ED when getting such a unique car, but my dealer couldn't do it coz he got the 1M very late (Nov) so it was useless to do an ED, so i was determined to do it myself, now

The car is being shipped to Germany for a 3 weeks Euro trip, including a drive in Switzerland and France! I hope i have a chance to meet most of the 1M members in these countries

Temperatures in Dubai are currently around 90-110 F so im not missing the car at all till the end of October when the weather starts to cool down and freshens up !

Tell us about the process of doing this! Cost, insurance, what did you need to do for registration and stuff in the EU? I would love to ship my new Boxster, or maybe the 128i over to Germany and do a three week drive around the alps. The question is if it would be cheaper to use one of my own cars or rent a similar car. Renting a Boxster is very expensive over there, but Imhave no idea how to go about shipping my own car to be used on a temporary basis and then shiping it back.
