E87 Power windows only works with key

Hi.

I have bought a used E87 118D from 2006 with 225.000 mls on the clock. Obviously not everything is as new, which I'm okay with but I really would like to be able to reliably roll down the drivers side window.

The passenger side works as intended with both the drivers side- and passengers side switch. Also works with the key fob.

The drivers side window clicks and only rolls up no matter if I push or pull the window switch. The electronic mirrors also don't work.

I've taken apart the switch module and cleaned with electric contact cleaner, unfortunately to no change. The circuits and contact points all look okay, and when I click the switch I can hear the motor or relay going as well.

Furthermore when using the key fob to roll down windows, they reliably roll down and up as expected every time. That tells me that the mechanism for the window and motor is working as intended, and that it might be the switches that needs replacing. However as the car was very cheap and my budget is tight for it, I really prefer to avoid spending a large amount of money on fixing the issue.

Has anyone here got a similar experience or fix that I could try?

Cheers,
