Adaptive Headlights

Tonight, I finally decided to try out the adaptive headlights - I know it's not something you can turn off, but it's often hard to tell if you have got ample of street lighting and not much corners.

So, I decided to go through the back roads tonight, just to see how well they work.

It is quite interesting to see your headlights kind of follow where you are turning - it is quite subtle and it certainly doesn't need to get used to. Like comfort access, it is probably a feature that you wish you had once you go without it.

Yep. Love it. You can even see it in a dark carpark.

I'm looking forward to doing a night run in the mountains to really experience them!

You can turn them off by just turning the lights to the on position, they are only adaptive when in the auto position, at least that's how it is on my 330d.

I drove from Perth to Hamelin Bay (about 300km) a few months ago, at night. On the twisty back roads behind Margaret River, the adaptive lights really worked well. Like Comfort Access, I would really miss it now.
