Gotta love the weather out today, nice and sunny. Was cruising around with a friend and got so many looks this morning, felt really nice.

I had several compliments from various on my alpine white 135i [mostly from women].dunno if its good or bad in that sense.
The funniest I have heard is unfortunately on this forum .Such a comment coming from a BMW owner was just sad at first but I had to laugh after while.

"BUT at what point are you diminishing the premium portion of your brand? Everyone I work with calls the 1 series the BMW for people who can't afford a BMW, I have to agree."

Co-workers who've been in the car think it's a pretty big deal. Techs at the dealer and my indie shop love the car. But I have never had a headlight flash or beep-beep returned by another 1er. And I've never seen anyone in the next car or on the sidewalk seem to notice at all.

Your 135 definitely costs more than a 328, and I'm pretty sure my 128 vert also costs more than the 328 sedan.

I signed up to a Miami-based "car enthusiast" forum, but I later found out it's just a place for high school ricers to mingle on. Anyway, I made an intro and said that I sold my Scion tC and bought the 1er...

Ricer #1: I won't congratulate because you're a person who wasn't able to work with what he had, so he bought his way there.

Ricer #2: All you had to do was just put a simple turbo kit on it, make 250-300+/- whp all day stock block and rode out with some decent suspension on it.

Ricer #3 with tC: Good job buying a girl car.

Most have no idea they are on a road or in a car; much less that there are other cars around. Cannot text AND notice cars, can we?

The gentleman who said that apparently bought a 335i and modded it pretty good( I guess to make it feel like a 135).I felt that the 3 series was a compromise,it's neither a good luxury car nor an agile car.It fits the needs of many but for me i would step to the 5 /7 series if I had to move up the
Luxury ladder.

RWD cars are not girl cars. Which forum was it? I don't get why people spend so much $$$$ to make a commuter car (civic, corollas, scions) into performance cars. I would rather take all that money and buy a proper performance vehicle. I am not bashing on people for doing that, it's their $$$ not mine. Just not my cup of tea.

- I had a 335 and was hating on the 135 when it first came out. The I started seeing them and the look grew on me. Sold the 335 and bought a 135 and have not regretted it once.

- Surprised by the comments here. Everyone who's come up to me about my car has had nothing but positive comments. And I've never had a comment about the car being girly, but maybe the fact that I'm 6'2" 225lbs has something to do with it

- Both e90 and e92 do look cleaner then the e82, and god knows the offsets suck on our cars, but there is just something so bad ass about a lowered 135 with nice wheels and tints

- BMW owners are the WORST offenders of the "my car is better then yours because it has a higher number" game. Nothing worse then when a 525i tries and pull on you

nobody ever tries to run me.... not that I'm complaining, cause I wouldn't do anything. But I just find it interesting people always get someone trying to race them and that just doesn't happen to me.

probably about 90% of the ones I see around here are driven by girls

Scion is new to Canada, so it's a fashion statement right now and girls are all over it here.

Haha you won't believe how many positive comments Scion forums would give to that kid if he posted that.

I believe it.

I've seen how they used to treat neons and civics about 10+ years back that looked like that.

Comments about my 125i (128) convertible:

Good looking sales lady helping me load large painting in back seat with roof down: "What a Snazzy Car !"
Me: "Thank you, almost 2 weeks old"
Her: "You gonna come back for more I hope soon ?"
Me, after 5 seconds of thinking: "Definitely, will bring my girlfriend too"

My 12yrs old son standing by car while I move it out of parking spot, roof down: "Dad, your car is LOUD !"
Me: "Yes, it has a big heart"

My girlfriend getting in car, as I reach to roof-down button: "Don't put roof down, makes me feel like I'm showing off"
Me: "Tell me that again, when you are a 70yrs old grandmother"

I've only gotten compliments.

The guy working the gate into my gym's parking lot: Nice M3!
Me: Thanks, but it's actually a 135.
Him: Oh cool!

The next day, same guy: Hey man, I'm so sorry I called your car an M3
Me: No worries, i took it as a compliment

The other day at the gas station, an older gentleman with a 650i walked over and said "Nice car! How do you like it? I've heard great things about this!"
