Smile 135 Color Choices

i am sitting down and deciding what i want to get on my 135i coupe when i order her likely in march. i am trying to figure out color combinations. i for sure want to get the red interior.

my choices are
-sapphire black/coral red
-alpine white/coral red
-silver/coral red
-space grey/red

does anyone have pictures of these color combinations? the representations on BMW build your own are pathetic.

Thanks a million!

i love the montego blue...i have seen it in person...but i am 100% sold on the red interior. i spent a lot of time in a z8, was one of my best friends cars. we used to take it clubbing a lot. it was the exact color combo in the bond movie.

but the blue doesnt look good with red interior, i saw an m3 with that color combo, didnt like it

it is so good looking, but white...idk...its one of those colors that comes and goes. white cars have always looked bad in the past, but now to me they look good...

There are lots of pictures of these. White/red is pretty common. White's very popular, though I think it's boring. Silver/red looks good, but is better on an Italian car. Black/red is one of the combos BMW used at car shows and is classic. Space gray and sparking graphite metallic will look the same in pictures so search for graphite red or SGM red. Great combination, I think. Restrained, elegant and also easier to maintain than black.

I suggest one of the aluminum trims -- wood is less sporty.

Here are the space grey cars.......still not a lot of pics though, peep's are waiting for their 09's. It will be the easiest the keep clean looking even when it's not.

yeah, white seems tacky to me. especially matte white. if it was like a lexus of cadillac white i would be all over it (the pearl white metallic). i like black soo much, but the thing is, on my MB, you breathe on the car and it gets dirty. and it shows swirl marks easier. yeah, the grey does look really good with the red interior. although, i would not go for the wood or the aluminum, i would go for the jet black finish

I got the fishscale aluminum because I like it, but I think jet black's pretty good, too. It's really that wood and wood-like trip seems more for a luxury car than a sports car.

I'm pretty happy with my sapphire black. It's a pain to keep clean, but I haven't had any trouble with swirl marks. Gray would be easier. Also, gray is great with red because on the outside it's not flashy at all, so it's like you are deliberately trying not to show off, and then the flashy red is kind of a surprise. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it's a great contrast somehow. Also, it's rare, yet appropriate.

very true. the wood would go nice if it was tan or black interior, but it just doesnt work with the red. i thought that the metallic might draw the attention away from dirt, but i guess not...im leaning at this point to either space grey or white...

Gray with red will be both more distinctive and more elegant. That's hard to do. I would only get gray if I were getting red leather, though. Possibly brown.

Black is a labor of love. It really shows dirt, but when it's clean and just sitting there gleaming at you when you walk up to it, wow! But you know that.

After seeing montego in person on a 1 series....I wish I had gotten it with either terra or lemon interior. Montego didn't look that good to me on the 3 series, but it does rock on the 1er.

Some pics of my Space Grey with Coral here:

I love the colour combo, I'm so glad I got Coral instead of something more subdued like black or grey.
The two colors really compliment each other well
