Spacing is adjustable my friend.... you have about a 6 inch tolerance on both sides giving you 12" total to work with in both directions....

I would think they should light up BTW since oem the 135i has sidemarkers. Weird.

not according to RPi, who I contacted a couple of months ago about the possibility... how can the separation between the tips be changed that much without cutting/welding?

Tough to explain but there is a LOT of play as far as movement. If you need more you could get a shop to cut a little off of the piping and slide the tips back on and clamp to gain more. If I even take my rear diffuser off I will snap pics so you can see what I mean. Trust me though there is plenty of room to work with!
