H&R or Eibach

What do you guys think?

The local shop guy says H&R is better. Didn't really explain why.

And would you get pro or race? I think 2 inch drop would be too much but the shop guy says it will be okay.

Any opinions or experiences? Thanks in advance.

Matte, do you want to join our little SoCal group of E90post members for a get-together? You will have the chance to see what those suspension combinations look like on our cars.

One thing I noticed today is when I measured the 330i sport and my non-sport 325i w/ 161's 17in. I have less clearance. The 330i had 150cm from arc to tire, and mine had 140cm, why? Can someone shed some light on this? I've read somewhere that if you get sport package bmw just recalibrate the shocks, so the springs from both non-sport and sport are the same !!!?

ok I had eibach prokit as my first spring on my 325 non sport. all i can say is i love the ride quality of those..its like stock. I do not agree with them that it is stiff, no. it is not. Now i have the H&R sport which compared to the Eibachs is more stiffer, I can feel every road imperfections and dips.
The reason i switched to H&R sport is I will go 20 inch wheels and which in Eibach drop, 19 is the perferct wheel gap (as for my preference) but on the 20's the car will raise up a little higher. IMO if you will go 20's go with H&R sport but with 19's Eibachs it is....good luck!

I also bought an eibach pro kit to replace my stock zsp springs and it's not stiff at all. I was actually surprised that it rides just like the stock zsp springs - I mean I couldn't really tell the difference. Now I just have to get an alignment

Greeting my little green friend..........

Are you coming from 330i ZSP or non sport??

I switched from ZSP to HnR...and the ride is much better. I could feel all bumps on the road with the ZSP. Things are much smoother with HnR. So...I guess, it depends on what you situation/expectations are.

Listen to marcus, you must.
If soft ride is all you desire....maybe go with eibach....little more $$$
If bigger wheels are in the picture (19"-20")....HnR are excellent...much better than ZSP.

for HnR's... would race be too low with 19's? 2 inch drop is more than I want, or I thought I wanted. Anybody have HnR race springs on?

Thank you all for your response. Big Big help.
