That's it. Just back from Lyntons after they rang me to say it's here. It's crammed into the workshop so all I got to do was see it close up and have a sit in it. First impressions - looks great in white, shows off all the M features of the car with the way highlights and shadows play over the contours. Looking at pictures I always thought that the wheels seemed too big for the car's proportions, almost comically so. However in person they definitely fit in with the character of the car. Interior - I must admit that I was prepared to be a little disappointed going by other posts mentioning how plain the interior is, especially going from my full specced 335i. Well at first impression I am pleasantly surprised, I like it. I immediately felt comfortable in the cabin. Peddle position is way better than a manual M3. Perfectly set for heel and toe, a big thing with me. Gearbox throws are a tad long but I prefer that to having to reach further to a short shifter. Umm what else...oh yes, they are not too happy with me leaving four rotwelllers stationed around the car till it's ready on Tuesday morning. Got a dinner on tonight so catcha.
