Spotted a space grey 1er this arvo around Redfern station, with what looked like silver VMRs/GTCs or M3 CSL reps. Actually drove past me at the traffic light but I only caught a glimpse of it as I was looking the other way.

Still... I wouldnt touch it for that price..

It would need a full overhall.. 1500km and 9 years old..

Thats a lot of sitting around in the garage..

As the ownwer stated in the add, that it had been turned on and warmed up periodically..Big deal..thats not enough to maintain.. The car hasnt even been run in properlly yet and it has 9 year old seals.

+1 and lubrication for moving metal parts/contact required regularly not just periodically.

If I could sell my CR without loss (hahahahaha) I would jump on it. First thing I would then do is truck it to SouthernBM for a really good once over (sure it may cost a few grand, whatever).

Sorry for the haters, I just think this is THE best M car ever made, SMG aside Kenny .

Quicker than a 1M (stock ), everywhere, purpose built, a screaming N/A straight six and CF factory components everywhere. Only 20 odd Aus delivered cars in Aus. >$250k 9 years ago and this one is new (well there would be some "aged" plastic etc I am sure)

Anyway, someone please buy it so I don't end up divorced... please.

The car appears to be in good nick from the photos. It therefore bewilders me that he has held on to a nice car for 9 years, enjoyed 1600 kms and now take a massive present-value loss on the resale. A warped pride of ownership. It doesn't make sense

MrBlonde had one (a standard E46 M3, not the CSL) if I recall correctly and was going to turbo it. Not sure what ended up happening though. Perhaps he could chime in.

CSL is a classic. And that engine...
