Any advice for a 135i newbie

I bought my wife an 08 135 with all the M options in auto. Is there anything I should look out for? I will have a look at the intake to see I it's had the carbon cleaning in a week or so. Thanks for the help!

You probably want to check to see if all the recalls were done. And also if the services have been done properly. Spark plugs every 45K miles. You probably might need brakes and the brake fluid changed/flushed. Air and pollen and wipers too. I would also say to change the oil and filter more often than what BMW says too. But thats just me.

Thanks Dackelone, I will go get the records and see what's been done to it and check the rest. It's a fun little car to drive!

I 2nd that. I too just bought an 08 with 37K on the clock. First things I did were:

Took it to an indy shop to inspect the entire car. No stored codes, hidden problems, etc.
Changed: Oil/filter, air filter, spark plugs, cabin filter, blades.

Brakes/fluid flush are next on my list although the pads still have some life left in them. Just can't stand the dust and noise!

I also upgraded the charge pipe and went with a single diverter valve. The OEM ones were leaking. Also replace air intake with the DCI from BMS. I did all this in prep for a JB4 tune I just installed last week. Whoa!

Good luck!

How do you check to see if the carbon cleaning (you mean walnut blasting right?) has been done?
