TPMS INACTIVE, sensors are good

My TPMS INACTIVE light came on yesterday morning. Just came from the tire shop and all the sensors are good and outputting a signal.

My independent mechanic is on vacation running a rally in California so I can't run by the shop till next wek to pull the codes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Can't take it to the dealership. Last time I tried they wouldn't touch the car for anything since it's tuned (Procede V3, catless, intake, etc).

I'm running 19" VMR V710s and Yokohama S-drives but I doubt that has anything to do with it. I bought the car with them on several months ago and everything has worked fine until now.

It has been intermittent either. Started it up yesterday morning and the light comes on, flashinging at first, then steady. Resets with every start but always present after the first few seconds of driving.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Go to the stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel and go to "reset" hold the button down on it for 5 or so seconds and then release it. This resets the TPMS and it should work fine so long as nothing is wrong with any of the sensors. Sometimes i have to do this in my 1er and it fixes it. Also, make sure you fill all your tires to proper PSI before doing it, IE 35-40PSI depending on tires/preference.

I've already tried that. It will not give me the reset check mark. Acts like the system isn't even there. I'm starting to lean towards the RDC control module being out.

Do you have the correct TPMS? The '08-'11 ( could be '12 ) have a different TPMS than the newer cars. I had a '10 135 and had to get all new TPMS for my '13. I had the same inactive light you are talking about. Hope this helps.
