135i stick or auto?

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Looking to buy one, but definitely want one that has more demand/resale value. What has higher demand, manual or auto on the 135i?

I like both hah... But like manual slightly more. BUT, if one is easier to sell or more demand than the other, I'd rather get that. In other words, I dont want to buy an auto if everyone wants manual

Go to any BMW dealer and 98% of the cars on the lot are automatics. Shifting (real shifting, not paddles) is a dying art in the US. My 128 has a stick and I wouldn't have it any other way. Get what you will enjoy driving. You're buying the car for yourself not the next guy.

this is true about getting what you want - but not 98% vs 2%. It is,however, more likely that the market for an automatic will be larger in the used car market - even with a 1 series BMW.

Definitely the auto if resale is your concern. It's a darn good auto at that.

I went with the stick, and still prefer it overall. I just seems more engaging, even if the auto is actually faster under most circumstances.
