Maybe this is just my 2 cents but I replaced my spark plugs at 30,000 miles thats under 50,000k. they had been in the car with a stage 1 tune for about 4,000 miles or 6,000k I would not have recommended running ANY longer on the plugs. The gap was huge compared to the new OEM plugs. These are stock copper plugs. Anyway just my 2 cents.

exterior cosmetic differences

Can anyone provide details on the differences on the exterior of and 135 from the Pre-Facelift to the Face-lift?

LCI for the 135i started in 2012 and I think the only exterior difference was the headlights and the taillights.

Also, the side rearview mirrors got bigger, but I think that started in 2011. Not positive about the year the mirrors got bigger. Could've started in 2010. Maybe someone with a '10 135i could chime in on that.

I believe most LCI changes came in 2011 but some additional changes to the headlights & tail lights were done again in 2012

The official year for the 1 series LCI started in MY2012, even though there were some changes in 2011.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=466003

The N55 engine and the DCT came out for the 135i MY2011 so it's unofficially part 2011 and part 2012.

Can confirm. Early 2011 build. N55 and DCT, however pre-lci.

Mine has to be one of the earliest MY2011s, with a production date of 4-27-10. Took possession in Oct. 2010.

Also cost-cutting measures kicked in. LCI cars no longer have the physical key hole for the trunk, for example.

My pre-LCI 2011 doesn't have a keyhole for the trunk either. Must've been another change they made starting in 2011?

Thank you for putting together this great resource!

After searching for used 1 series for past year, by sheer luck came across an immaculate 2013 128i at a local Mini dealership. It was brought in on trade 2-days earlier and hadn't been posted online yet. I went there to test drive one of their used Cooper S models.

2013 128i with 32,000 km, black Saphire metallic, black leatherette, 6MT, premium package and navigation, xenon headlights, rust proofed. The dealer included a 3M paint protection with the warranty and a pre-purchase inspection. Exterior and interior are obviously well cared for.

Absolutely thrilled to be taking delivery tomorrow! Looking forward to some driving this weekend while the weather holds up. Thanks again!

EDIT- I should mention this is my first BMW after years of magazine/online enthusiasm

Newbie here, recently picked up a 2008 E88 with 53K on it, 6MT and the BMW PPK stage 2. It's a New England car that has never seen winters and always garaged, took me over a year to find a black on black car that wasn't beat. LOVE it.
