Quickack 5000 ?

Anyone using the Quickjack 5000 with their 135 ? Discovered I have an oil pan gasket leak and rather than paying an indie shop to do it I might as well invest in a set of quickjacks and do it myself. I don't mind wrenching on my car but always find working on jackstands is way too restrictive height wise. Would be a great time to do cat-less downpipes and maybe solve my wastgate rattle while I'm in there.

I've been watching these for years, but could never justify the cost. There are other options out there, so shop wisely. 2 things I don't like on about is... 1: can't slide under the car from the side, it's either access via the front or the back. 2: does't quite get the car up high enough, so you're still on your back....

There are some 1/2 height 2 post/4 arm lifts, but they are a bit more expensive.

I have a 5000slx. I have had a Corvette, Camry, Acura MDX, s2000 and Mazda 5 on it. It works very well but it's not cheap. I slide them under the car from the side. Lifting a new car takes some time to make sure you have the lift blocks lined up. Once you know how to set it up, repeat lifts are quick and easy. From pulling in to 2 feet in the air, it's about 2 minutes.

Raising the car 2' in the air is the part I like. Just lifted my car to the max of my floor jack and jackstands and the car is around 16" off the ground. That extra clearance would make working under the car so much more comfortable. The only thing that holding me back is the price. That would cut into my modding money.

The 5000slx works very well. It's quite versatile. I've used it my 135, the wife's e90, the neighbor's Accord, and a friend's e92 M3. Yeah it's expensive but I can't believe I lived so long without it. Last I checked they sold them through Amazon for the same price, so if you have or get a ton of Amazon gift cards that can offset it nicely.

It's at my local Costco right now for $1200 CDN. Might have to jump on it. Just checked on Amazon and they're $3600 there. I hope they have some left. Only had 2 when I was there yesterday.

I too am an owner of the Quick Jack 5000. Use it on my Colorado and my 135. I have not had a need to take it up all the way. The first stop was useful to change oil and such.
I have problems raising the 135 on the jack blocks then figuring out how to get the stands under those same blocks
Quick jack is definitely safer than jack and stands from stability perspective. In addition, they can be run under the rockers or across them.
Biggest issue is paying attention to how car will move as it is raised.
First time takes a bit to figure everything out, but after that, it is just a matter of moving the weight of the Quick Jack to the proper place under the car

I love mine. Access is fine and I store it under the car when not in use. Despite what some may say it is very stable and locks in place.

I love the quickjack idea but for $400 more one can get the Danmar Maxjax removable two post lift. Less obstruction and lifts up to 48".

Best price I could find on that Danmar Maxjax was $2200 - do you have a link to one that was <$1800 ?

$680?

I was debating getting one of these last year when they were $1200 Cdn at Costco. Early this month, the 7000 model came on sale for Cdn $1349, about US$1050. I bought one for Cdn $1349 (Sep 2). Today I get an email from Costco, "last chance, only days left". Price CDN $900 or about US$680.

Tomorrow I'm on my way to Costco to get the $900 price b/c Costco will honor a lower price for 30 days. Now this assumes the $900 one is a 7000 and not the 5000.
