Arrow Toy models of our cars... 1:43, 1:87 and 1:18...

Well… I did some searching online and found a few companies selling these highly detailed “Kyosho” 1:18 one series coupe model. Most of the places sell these detailed models for around 100 euros. I found this online model store that sold it for 75 euros plus 5 euros shipping (inside of Germany).

www.modelissimo.de

kosmann@modelissimo.de

I was going to buy a 1:18 model from my BMW dealer… but they only have two colors: Black and Sedona Red. I wanted a silver one to match my silver 135i. Too bad they don’t offer shadowline or M-wheels or 6MT (the model is a auto) are possible options. Ohh well.

I am really happy with the quality of this model. I did find some on Amazon.com but then I started to think a model like this might get damaged in the APO shipping system… and in the end went with an online store in DE – to be sure of no damage in the shipping.

I know 80 euros is a lot to pay for a little toy model… but what can I say. I am a 1Addict! lol

Here are my photos…

And here are the BMW dealer 1:43 or 1:87 1'er models sold in the gift shop of the Welt or you can order them thru any BMW dealership.

I bought the two small size 135i models. 1:87 (small) and 1:43 (medium) sized models. They also had the larger 1:18 size for 65 euros.

The only problem is they die cast models are only made in two colors: Black or Sedona Red.

Here are some pics of the 135i models I have. They are cool, bc they open in an unusual way. By turning the cover in 180' degrees. Its also interesting that the small one is made in Germany while the medium size is made in China.

1:43rd box

small 1:87th scale...

You can order these models from any BMW dealer:

small 135i model: 80 41 0 427 070 price 18 euros
med 135i model 80 42 0 427 067 price 28 euros
large 1:18 scale model 65 euros. sorry no part number.

Btw... BMW makes a model for every car they build!

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Minichamps also makes a 1:43 version of of the 1er (in 135i form). This is the one I have (you can ignore the C63 AMG):

PC Valkyrie - I really like the quality of Minchamps models. Looks like yours is even a numbered(!) limited edition. Maybe I will keep on the look out - when I go to the Tenchno Classica car show in Esson on Friday.

IF anyone else has some 1er models please post them up!

PS: I forgot I had this Herpa model too...

I too have that Sedona Minichamps dealer model, but I removed it from the odd 'dealer box' and put it in a normal Minichamps case so it doesn't take up so much space in the display case; it may get kicked upstairs soon because the 1:43 racing Porsches collection needs the space.

Very good find on the Kyosho 1:18; didn't know they made one. And it silver too!

Thanks for posting this. I may have to order one of the Kyoshos as silver is my color. The detail is amazing! I second your motion for shadowline trim and add the performance grills to my request for authenticity.

75 euros is a little steep imo, but it's awesome that the engine bay is so detailed. you can tell it's an N54 even the cats in the midpipes are accurate to the N54 version

I have the Kyosho 1:18 1-series convertible. It is super cool. It is not a 135i but either a euro 128i or 125i. But it is a manual transmission and the one I have is graphite. Also comes in silver and champagne. Well worth the price. You can pick them up from US sites for around $90-$100.

75 euros was THE cheapest I could find! Most Kyosho models are in the 100 to 120 range over here! The place I bought my model from goes to a lot of car shows and races in europe(Techno Classic, LeMans, 'Ring, IAA, ect). I think they do alot in sales, maybe that is why they were so much cheaper than all the other stores.

I am a happy camper with this model.

Those models look really good

I found a die cast model of my Z4 at Costco a few years ago. That was a lucky find for about $10. I keep looking when they get them in each year but no luck on the 1 series yet.
