The fitment flaws are more subtle and not all that obvious in these photos.

In any case, for a PU lip that sits low, and nudges curbs, its not bad. Plus it won't crack like CF the moment it meets a bit of concrete.
Judging by the picture the seller provides, i dont think there should be a gap.

Don't get the one from Xcess Motors, it will not fit. I bought one few months ago and the contour of the lip didn't follow the bumper. The lip was sticking out about 3-4" on one side.

If anyone wants to buy this one off of me I'll make you a deal. PM me if interested. It can be made to work but I'm not willing to do that.

It's the same lip that Unkie posted pics of early in this post. As he stated it took some work to make fit but it does fit. If you look at the second pic you can see how it doesn't push forward very much. At least on my initial test fit it was totally flush with the front edge. I did not drill holes in my bumper tho to see how far I could mount it. I only mounted the outside corners as those bolt holes lined up perfect.
Sorry, didn't take any pics of it on. If I get a few free hours and feel like trying again to make it work I'll take some. But the previous pics here is what it would look like.

I hear ya, think most of us that come from a JDM background all feel this way. There are so many types of lips available in all sorts of materials. But seems w/ the BMW community, all they make is overpriced CF lips that crack in a couple of months of wear and tear

Exactly. For a track dedicated vehicle a CF lip would be fine but in this "real world" I live in we have curbs and dips and steep drive entrances that are brutal on a lip. I was super careful on my Subi but I still scraped the bottom of that plastic lip often enough to know I would destroy a CF lip.

It seems like if someone just made a reasonably priced urethane lip that fits, they would make a killing. I am always tempted by these Ebay ones, but I know they aren't worth the trouble.

+1

It makes the front end look so much more aggressive, but I refuse a CF one priced with uber bmw tax margins that I have a good shot at breaking on day 1.

Someone go the VRSF route here and make a decent lip out of decent materials, charge a reasonable margin and make a killing.

Because the Lip pictured on the car is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what you actually receive.

Look at the standalone picture of the lip in the listing. IT'S NOWHERE NEAR AS DEEP as the one on the car. And there's no "step".

..and they advertise it as a HA "Style" Lip...
