Eywflyer,
It was your original post that got me going on the vin by vin check at http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/. Yes your car is accounted for and is on the Canada car count. So I guess you get to share some of the blame for this crazy activity

I'm a stats geek too so will gladly share the blame for this thread lol! So you have been entering sequential VINs into the VIN decoder? I had thought you were only doing wildcard VIN searches on the WWL shipping status page.

Is my car listed in the Canadian group? I live in Florida and it should be in the US listing. Checking on the VIN decoder link I don't see the S548A KILOMETERTACHO item listed.

correct, BP and I entered the VINs into the decoders and created an "is" database. BP was able to log the Canada units, I didn't take it to that level.

We've got yours in the database/chart:

41969 A76 Deep Sea Blue LWNL Blk/Blue M6 is 1-Feb

I put it with the Canadian cars because you mentioned it in your post in the "production cut off for the 135i and 135is" thread in the "Ordering, Pricing, Options, Tracking Discussions"

I don't know if it was just an isolated case or not, although I notice that the stats upthread did not show any deliveries to Brunswick, which is the VDC I was told my car was to be shipped to. I still don't know which ship my car came across on.
I am using all of the info that I can scrounge up

Gotcha. I still don't know why it never showed up in the WWL system. Either it was a glitch or it was shipped on K-Line. Anyway, it can go into the US list. Thanks for doing all of this! It's really cool to know exactly how many of each color/option combo are out there.

Lucky for me I never tagged it M-Sport so it didn't roll up under the Canada cars.
Does your car have the port installed exhaust and performance power package?

Yes it does - I have verified the presence of the auxiliary radiator and it definitely has the PE!

Is the decoded VIN info for my car missing an element you would expect to see for a 135is?

All of the 135is cars coming to North America have the P7MFA-Sports Edition code listed in their VIN info. The difference is the Canada delivered cars do not get the port installed goodies and the Canada cars also have the kilometer speedo.
So seeing that your car did not have the km speedo but as you said was delivered to New Brunswick got my attention.
I take it your car was shipped to New Brunswick and then trucked to the states where they installed the exhaust and ppk2. Interesting stuff.

Umm, he's referring to New Brunswick, New Jersey, not New Brunswick north of Nova Scotia. Hope that clears that up.

Actually I was referring to Brunswick, Georgia. At least that's where my SA told me the car was shipped to, although I could never verify that in the WWL tracking data. Sorry for the confusion.

Much thanks to Bama and bp-plickner for compiling all of this data!

Oh and thanks Greg for vouching for my car's genuineness! I became paranoid a couple weeks ago when I couldn't find any of the PPK stickers and had to look and make sure the aux radiator was there. Apparently from what I have read on another thread there has been no consistency at all in applying the PPK stickers. Some folks have the under hood one, some have the door jamb one, some have both, and some like me have none.

Look at Greg, calling out the fake and telling him to get lost! Must have a couple of beers in him tonight, as he says "See ya'!"

Funny thing is I knew you'd say that, too. But alas, I do not drink. Seeing either a new 135is interior badge appear or a photoshop job, didn't much appreciate that. Hilarious thing is, in his feeble attempt at making it look MORE like a 135is, anyone with half a brain can see it clearly is not due to errors in the car, which I shant point out and allow an opportunity to then fix that as well. It's pretty pathetic and sad if you ask me. It's like getting a letterman jacket made with varsity letters after you graduated high school and then telling everyone you were the high school quarterback or something.

Love the 135is. My sales guy just told me if I ever plan to sell, to please call him first. I may hang on to this one for quite a while.

This is a strange coincidence. My salesperson just sent me my VIN number yesterday. I searched it on Google and ended up here. This is my car. It's going to be delivered on Friday.

It was originally ordered as dealer stock. There were only three Lemans Blue 135i's in stock in all of Canada. This was the only one that was equipped the way I wanted. Even better, it was EXACTLY what I would have factory ordered. I added the performance exhaust and all black M performance grilles. No agonizing wait for a factory order for me although it has taken a while to get it shipped here from the dealer who had it. I can't imagine how painful it wuld be to have to wait months for a factory order, three weeks has been long enough.

I have spent most of the last 7 weeks reading everything I could about the 135is as I wait for my delivery. Does anyone have the definitive answer on where the "at port" work is done? I am fairly certain it is ONLY Port Hueneme for the west coast. For the east coast I have read it is in both Baltimore and Brunswick GA. Anyone have a solid answer for this?

West coast is only Port Hueneme, but east coast also has the main NJ port as well. i think any port has the same VPC procedures and what have you where they do the inspection and install all our beloved IS bits. I know the NJ is a big one for much of the east coast or at least the Northeast and perhaps a hair west of that. Check out this article if you get bored and want to pass the time til she arrives.
