WTF!!

So we're enjoying a nice spring day out in the 1, car running great, and stop for a red light and EVERY warning light comes on, including air bag light, no speedo, wipers on and can't turn them off, doors won't lock! And the car is still running.

Got it the dealer, and they said this is a first!!

Has anyone had the pleasure of this malfunction besides me? Or any ideas??

Bad battery maybe?

Could be a junction box failure or glitch (all the electronic buses in the car connect through it), car will still run in limp mode, but every device on a bus other than the CANbus used by the engine may look like it has failed.

Did you have the battery recall? I remember someone who needed that having something similar.

Finally got the car back yesterday and I'm told it was the aftermarket remote start. So it's now removed and all is fine. Or is it? I hope that was the problem, but remote has been on the car since November with no issues and now, out of the blue, it kicked off 25 codes on the computer.

This one is plug and play, so no harnesses were cut either.

I guess, beware of remote starters!!
