Manual Sport Seats - The seat squeak is killing me
Has anyone else experienced the squeak on the sides of the seat bottom? Basically, I can sit in the seat and if I rock back and forth from left to right the sides of the seat make this horrible squeaking noise.
Anyone had any success fixing something like this? |

Have someone else sit in the seat and wiggle from side to side while you try to identify the source of the squeak. When you find it, lube it up with something.
Or bring it back to the dealer and complain... ianc

Make sure the seat isn't rubbing against te seat belt receptor. Mine was because my seat was too high ad causing it to squeek over bumps. Lowered the seat a bit and now it's fixed.

I haven't noticed such a squeak in my 1er...but I'll look for it the next time I move my seat.

Reviving a very old thread
I've got both of these issues. E-Break squeaks pretty loud if the car moves around even the slightest. I also found that the seat squeaks right alongside the left leg bolster where the cushion meets the plastic. When I'm climbing out of the car, both of em squeak pretty loudly at the same time. Doesn't feel like I'm getting out of a BMW at all. Anyone else have these squeaks and found a fix for them? What kind of lube can I use between the cushion and the plastic? |

I had this exact same problem with my seats. Had the dealer replaced driver side under warranty but they fixed the passenger seat with silicone spray lubricant

Don't have this problem. Wonder if it helps that I keep the seat all the way down?

No such squeaks, but I don't have manual seats either.
