265 or 255 square setup

I have been sitting around on wheels and tires section for days trying to find a setup like this someone is running.
Basically, I want to run either 255/18 or 265/18 square setup. My question is, can I run 18x9 wheel front and back? If I can, what is the best offset or what mm spacers will I need?
Thank you

forget 265. you will need major fender roll and some pull to fit 255 on et40 and camber plates. you can fit 275 in the back with et63 but nothing wider than 255 in the front

I have a 18x9 et40 wheel, 245/35 tire, have to run a 5mm spacer to make room for the tire. I have a major roll and pull. I have camber plates. Can't run the front end as low as I'd like to. Rubs on fender liner/bumper clip. I'm going back to a 225/35 tire, loved that setup.

I'm not planning for Fender rolling or pull at all. And maybe even a drop is not in my mind at this point. I will get camber plates and if 255 is out of questions, Can i have 245 in front and 275 in the back with no rub?

yes you can but you'll need a very high offset in the back. apex wheels make them

If i don't like any apex wheel styles. How big of spacers can i use safely? I do bit of spirited driving, some autox and see 2-3 track days each summer.

I have 18x8.5 +45 front with a 245/35/18 no rubbing
18x9 +54 with 275/35/18 with some rubbing on hard bumps.

you can get away with 275 rear on the +54 if you go to -2.5 camber or so but it will still rub on bumps with 2 people in the car and on hard turns. i ended up getting my rear fenders pulled 3mm~ and with the camber now i don't rub at all. i didn't touch the front fenders though.

Hopefully I'm wrong but you keep asking about spacers so I get the impression that you are thinking backwards. Our cars need high offset wheels or they will rub the fenders. Adding spacers moves the wheels closer to the fenders and makes our issues even worse and in effect make wheel offsets lower. If you tried to run a wide wheel/tire up front it would rub both the fender and the strut. In that case spacers and running camber might allow you to run a 245 front tire but even that is difficult.

Thanks. That clears up alot. I planned to go with Apex Arc-8 18x9.5 wheels. Although, its not really what i was looking for. I wanted a bit more concave, but i guess this is the only wheel i can run with the widest tires without any modifications.

Check out their new EC-7 wheels they look great - especially given that they're actually functional (light weight & good fit):

If you can wait, the EC-7 rear with et58 might fit a 275 better. With ARC-8 et63 a small spacer is usually necessary.

EC-7 Isn't concave enough for that perfect concave look, or maybe i haven't seen one in person so I can't tell. I think EC-7s will look good in 19s and I want 18s so I think ARC-8 is a better choice for me.

You must be running a spacer for the front tires for a 245 tire. I have the same size rim with 225 tire and it just clears inside strut and i mean just. Credit card width

i was only thinking outside rub....my inside strut perch cut itself room in my tire on the insides >_< I saw someone saying that the ST coilovers didn't rub the inside so i blindly followed the advice...it sorted itself out though the first day i put them on lol

Ive got a 245 square setup. If youre curious about clearances hit me up next week when im back in the states. You can see first hand how tight it is in the front.

And yes, its very easy to do this if you arent careful

It depends on wheel offset, not just the rim width.

Anyone tried stock rear wheels on the front? I was thinking about running 4 rears all around so I can try to fit a 245 up front. I have my 264s powdercoated and like them so I don't want to run a different wheel.

you will need to run at the minimum 5mm spacer up front in order to clear the struts...

I've been running the rear wheels on the front for several years now. I use a 10mm spacer, and it's been working fine for me.
