1M code name: Pyrat...

Ok, we all know the story... The M// engineers loved this special spiced rum... so that is why the new 1M was given the code name: Pyrat. That was before BMW AG settled on the 1M name. Now we also know why they did not call it the M135is. (see my other post!).

Anyway... I thought I would post a picture of said "spiced rum".

First time seeing the rum. The Valencia Orange color makes sense now.

I hope BMW is listening because they really need to bring on a fourth color (line) AND another interior color choice then just black leather. I want something special like "KorallRot" aka "Coral Red"!

Actually, I missed it. Could you post the link? Some how I'm not finding it.

I believe it was Scott26 who reported what the BMW board decided to call the new 1er M Coupe. At the time everyone wanted the name M1 or M135i. He did not tell us what it would be called, but just that it would not be called either of those two names(M1 or M135i).

Here are some relevant links regarding the name of the 1M... I searched and searched but I could not find the post where Scott26 mentioned the boards decision on the name of the 1M.
