The rendering above (from autocar?) seems to be consistent with details from Scott26, and I am guessing is not too far from the final product.

I read on bimmer file that a concept will be shown at the Paris motor show (October). It is going to be a long wait until then!

Looks good but i dont think they will go over board with changes.
Ie no hood bulge/vents, no fender vents or different mirrors.

Remember not all Ms get everything.

Great rendering but did I miss something? I thought the on/off 1 series M variant was in the off position again....new press release?

By far the best rendering. Awesome job!

Try to move the bottom of the two bumper columns outward to get that trapezoid shape, but other than that, I hope it looks like your vision.

Who wouldn't buy one of these awesome cars? I know this may sound crazy but if I buy this car it will NOT be a daily driver. So, it would be really cool if I could order a true Tii/M track model with DELETE options to save weight, such as: no A/C, no Stereo, no back seat, light weight sport seats with no electric adjust (like the Porsche cars), no electric locks or windows, no cruise control, etc. Then, for sure I would buy a light weight rocket, stripped down Tii/M !!!! Would BMW let me do this through there CUSTOM program??? A factory carbon but painted hood and trunk would also be swell - I wonder how much weight this would actually save?

I guarantee you the real M1 will not look that good!!!! Great photoshop. I'm not getting my hopes up for the real M1 when it is revealed, that way I can't be too disappointed (looks-wise).

Great skills with photoshop but it just looks like a 1 series with M3 parts on it...though it be more original.

Best photoshop I've seen yet, this is what I would expect it to look like. I agree with others that it's a tad too low, and I also agree with this:

The front end of the white rendering looks a teeny bit too "rounded" with it as it is, even with the (great) sharp edges on the lower lip. The front end of the second one looks better, and I really like the top edges that creep up onto the flat of the bumper, but its a tiny bit too tall proportionally for me (although it'd be great for intercooler efficiency!). (EDIT: After looking at the front end of the second one closely for a while, I think it's perfect as is.) I think you're onto something and I'd be willing to bet this will be close to how the final version looks.

+1 for Photoshop skills.
