Ordered Premium Pkg before price decrease, pickup 128i after price decrease

I ordered a 128i coupe in July '11, and I'm scheduled the PCD in October. The price for the Premium pkg in July was $4,100, and when I pay for the car in October, the new price for the Premium pkg is $3,400. Do you think I'm entitled to get a price reduction of $700 from the dealer? When does the dealer actually pay for the car, in July when I ordered it, or in October when I pay for it, when the cost is only $3,400 for the Premium pkg?

That depends more on when the car was built I think. If it was manufactured under the old pricing, then you're stuck with it because that's what the dealer will be invoiced for. However, if it was built after September 1, then you should be entitled to a price drop in my opinion. However, I will be the first to admit I'm no expert on this particularly since you're right on the edge.

Then its probably the pre sept price and config changes. I'm in a similar situation where if my production was four days later I would have got free Bluetooth..... But alas.

Agreed... I'm afraid that APC7654 is stuck with the pre-Sept 1 pricing. On the bright side, you're still getting a freaking awesome car

In that sense I'm lucky; my car went into production last Thursday, but honestly my pricing didn't change more than about $50 because of the options I had.

In the end, the only things I miss from the new pricing are the Bluetooth (though allegedly all the guts are there in the pre sept builds, but connecting the wires and finding someone to code it is a bear) and I would have gladly paid $100 for paddle shifters.

Hey one quick question, I was a build week 43 (went into production last tuesday, finishing this week). I don't see the bluetooth on my build sheet or see it on BMWUSA.com under entertainment options. Can anyone confirm that my car will come standard with the bluetooth?

Thanks

According to the info we see here, it should, but only your CA can confirm, and (s)he may now know. Mine certainly didn't know about any of the Sept 1 changes.

Thanks, I sent over the link to this thread to my CA a long time ago and he confirmed the changes but I just wanted to get some other insight and ensure that I was getting the bluetooth. I am going to ask my CA for another invoice just to be sure.
