Yeah, that and huge RV's. The last time I did this drive, I was stuck behind alot of them, and had almost no oppertunity for a clear passing zone. Forget it with 7+ cars trying to pass...

Although I live in NorCO, I'll be in the Denver area that weekend. I can start with those in that area. All we need is a time and place. Nice route, even with the potential of "rolling chicanes(sp?)". Looking forward to this meet.

So is everyone still on for September 29th? We're one month out.

I am for sure.

We should probably start working out times and a meet location.

Hey there this is SID from the M3POST board... I was trying to get a Peak to Peak type of drive together for the 29th as well; looks like you guys beat me to it!

Whenever we have a big drive or event planned I usually try and post it on the E90post and 1Addicts side as well. You guys should post the details on the other boards and we can have one big drive. That being said, I heard rumors that the RMCBMWCCA is doing their fall drive that day too. Although, I cant find it on any of their calenders.

Here is what I was planing for the drive but if you guys already have something set then that is cool with me too:

Plan:
9:00AM Meetup at Sunmart Conoco. 18561 U.S. 40, Golden, CO
12:00PM Stop for lunch somewhere (wherever we are)
??? Stop for Pics at top of Mount Evens
???

Here is the route that I am proposing:
https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=C...5,6,7&t=m&z=10

Wow are you serious? We went this time last year and it was awesome! Beautiful weather and the leaves were all changing...

Have any of you guys seen anything about the the RMCBMWCCA drive that is supposedly happening the same day? If it is then I think we are all just going to do that drive.. If not, then a bunch of E90post and M3Post guys are probably going to try and jump in with you guys if thats cool?

Yeah, it closed real early this year...

Mt. Evans Status

There is a RMCBMWCCA Track Day on the 22nd. Is that maybe what your thinking of?

https://www.rmcbmwcca.org/calendar.php

So, what do you M3 guys think about teaming up with us on our drive? We basically just need to pick a meeting point and time on the 29th...

Looking at the route you guys posted, maybe we should meet somewhere in the area of Golden? Perhaps in the Colorado Mills parking lot? In front of Dicks Sporting goods?

Hey guys, here is the link to the official BMW CCA drive that is being held on the 29th. If you have never been to one of these you should come and check it out. It usually very well organized, fun, and fast!

So what is everyone thinking? Switch over to the BMWCCA drive or stick with our own route?

I think I will go with the BMWCCA drive since it's starting right here in the Springs. From the release point at Breckenridge I'll head to Denver for Oktoberfest.

I'm happy with the original route, as I haven't been up that way in a while plus it is closer for those of us in Denver. The BMWCCA drives are usually pretty fun though with the mix of cars and people. I've done the spring drive on the route through Poudre Canyon to Walen to Winter Park which is a great drive.

Those of us thinking of sticking to the original route, have we decided on where and when we would like to meet on Saturday morning?

I'm going to stick with the original route too...

How about we meet in the parking lot in front of the Best Buy near US-36 and Sheridan Blvd. That way we're right by US-36 for the first leg of the trip. What do you guys think about 9:30 or 10:00 AM?

That location sounds good as it's just right down the road from me. 9:30 AM works for me too.
