Adrian thanks for your comments. Peter took the DCI off the next day and the setup is sitting in his dyno cell as far as I know.

I also switched back to the factory airbox about a month ago. Just running the K&N drop in at the moment.

Not sure if it was clear in my original post a couple back. We tested with no filter in standard box, and no performance gains, which means any drop in replacement would have the same or worse result. The restriction is in the box lid. All air passes from one side of it to the other, and this is where the restriction is. An intake setup that wants to improve things has to improve this area... so DCI does it, and Dinan does it, and system that put a seperate pod feeding the filtered side of airbox do it, but anything retaining the original lid unmodified with no way to bypass the lid will be no better than stock from a power perspective. Of course... it may be cheaper or something which is another reason to buy it.

Is this only in combination with a tune? I am still undecided with the AFE CAI, as conflicting views. Many ppl say that stock air filter, FMIC etc will give no gains unless car is running over stock boost

True for a 135 running 8psi but 1M which run 14psi so intercooler, dci and especially downpipes will help.

I actually took my car through the Crystal Carwash on the weekend! I even sprayed some Mothers wheel cleaner on the hideously blackened wheels beforehand!

For me this is lavishing my car with love.
