Exhaust type - any guesses

Considering buying this car and don't recognize this. Doesn't sound very good but I know that exhaust note is always subjective.

thanks!

Probably a custom muffler delete. Those tips stick out farther than any production exhaust I've seen on here. Tips look short and tacked on as an afterthought too.

Gap between the exhaust tip and diffuser seems to be quite a lot...any under the chassis photo?

Garage List
A majority of companies slap their logo or name either on the exhaust can itself or on the tips.

A shot underneath the car and a closeup of the tips would help greatly

Sorry to say, but I agree with the above. Fugly hack-job at best. Hope the rest of the car is done more tastefully.

Which PE?

Thanks a lot guys, I suspected it was something "off brand" at best or a DIY fence pipe from Home Depot. Probably sounds like a chainsaw.

I'll get some pics from under the car from him. Should be interesting.

The BMW Performance exhaust (PE). It's the same exhaust that you had on your 135is. I have it on my car btw and I think it sounds awesome.

I was saying you should get a BMW Performance Exhaust to replace that home made exhaust that's on your car right now.

This car is beat ass. God only knows what else he cut corners on.

So here is his answer:

"The exhaust is custom but there are no emblems I am going to triple check however, and the blow off valve does make noise.

Before you pass on it though, I'd love to get you down here to check it out if at all possible.

The muffler was cut in the back and replaced with a straight pipe but no idea as to where the mods were done, all I can tell you is it was purchased that way and I know that’s not much help to you!"

Thank you everyone.

Looking for: Coupe, N55, DCT, M Package (Seats and Wheel). Some mods ok. Color in this order: Silver, Grey, Red, Blue. White ok, but not my first choice. No black, too much cleaning. LOVE the Red interior. This will be a daily driver with autocross and HPDE at Road America.
