BBS CH fitment

I am contemplating purchasing a set of 19" BBS CH staggered wheels.

Here are the specs on the wheels:

19x8.5 35mm offset fronts and 19x9.5 40mm offset rear

Specs on tires currently mounted to the wheels:

Front - 235/35/19
Rear - 265/35/19

A few questions, and please disregard my lack of knowledge when it comes to wheels and tires...

1 - Will I experience any rubbing on these? I have the sports suspension, but no lowering and none planned.

2 - The tires mounted are used tires. I will probably burn through them this summer, and purchase a new set come the following spring. I thought the aspect ratio for the tires are supposed to be different front and rear. Am I missing something?

Any help is appreciated....

Bavarian, no rubbing at all, even if you lower it.

Your right, the your new tire set should be 235/35/19 f & 265/30/19 r.

They will look hot!!

Get 'em!

Thanks for your help. I went on tirerack for tire choices, and did see that the aspect ratio should have been 5 less for the rear...

For these wheels being BBS CH's, I am getting a great deal on them (assuming it goes through). Im getting excited for them

From the calculator on top, I am told: 9mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 3mm

I am assuming this is in reference to stock... I would rather have them tucked in a little and have no rubbing issues than to push them out and have this as a possibility. I dont see how it extending an extra 3mm is going to be tucked in any more than my stock 162's are now...

Just so I know next time... When talking about the offset of wheels, what exactly does this distance tell you?

Cool, get a report on those rims to see if they remain 360 true.

No curb rash?

I don't think you would want to, but if you do decide on spacers(Long is starting to sound like DTDREW!), 10mm should do the trick.

Offsets are the distance of the centerline if the rims compared to the hub mounting surface of the rims.

With your Ch setup, you will come out 5mm more in the front and 10mm in the rear. Not much at all. You won't even come close to rubbing.

i dont get it?? if he said your rear offset is 40mm, i would think you need spacers or your wheels going to look like its hiding in a shell...i am assuming these came off an e46 coupe?

Long, the BBS CH rear rims are 9.5" wide with +40 offset. With that setup, the rear CH's will come out 10mm MORE than his/yours/mine stock setup. If it was a 8.5" rim with +40, then his Ch's would tuck in 3mm. So he can either run them with the govin offsets or add 10mm spacers in the back for a +30, and they will come out an extra 10mm for a total of 20mm.

I am waiting to hear back from the seller, so Ill find out soon. This is coming off of an E46 sedan. No spacers until I have them mounted. I would like to not run spacers on my wheels...
