2008 N54 135i Convertible

I'm looking at purchasing a 135i convertible with 70k miles.

What are some things I should have checked out prior to purchase? Also, what are some mods that will keep it healthy (outside of oil change every 5k)? I'm not really looking to make it faster. I was previously driving a 2005 Saab 9-3.
