Electric Outlet

I occasionally run with a radar detector, and the location of the 12v electrical outlet makes the cord string a long way down the console. I am thinking of piggy-backing another outlet into the console piece below the radio and A/C controls. Thoughts?

cant you just retrofit the ashtray assembly into that space?

My 135 has 2 outlets (1 in the ashtray and one under the armrest)

Why just not hardwire it, so much cleaner. Check out the DIY section, that's what I did with my Escort, pretty easy.
