NE Dragway anyone?

i rolled in just after 8. bdh8281 was there like 20 mins before me, so you must have just misssed him.

my best was a 13.4 at 108....but it was my first run! 2nd run i launched too hard and spun, then every run after that was a wash cuz some douche spilled something slippery....i couldn't floor it in 3rd at 80 without major spinning

mike, were you in the left or right lane when you couldn't get traction in 3rd? I only had that problem on the left lane. The right lane ("HEMI") is fine.

Same problem last year when i went there in my GTI. Left lane about .5-1.0 seconds slower due to slipping all over.

i must have just missed you guys. that stinks. The crowds were little to none from 6-7 and then there were a couple of stoppages for busted cars and such. Then the lines grow and i figured it was dimishing returns and another night with more bimmers would be more fun anyways.

Did you see the 3/4 pickup running the low 12s? diesel. beast.

Pretty much direzza's are terrible for the dragway. Like mike said, I couldn't get traction till about 80mph. boo

i was spinning like crazy in both lanes. my best run was in the right lane tho, fwiw.

didn't see any trucks running 12s, but there were several who i actually had to try to beat, which says enough right there

you gonna be out at evo school or the may 23 AX?

i'm running hankooks which are definitely slipperier than direzzas and my fastest runs were "lazy" runs without coming close to flooring it in 1st gear, slowly getting to the floor in 2nd, 3rd no problem in the left lane.

maybe you need to do burnouts in the direzzas to heat them up? cool

i'm signed up for both days of EVO school

hopefully i'll be signed up and accepted for 5/23 autox too.

my autox schedule is taking a back seat to family life though. not as many events on the schedule as i would've liked. we have a couple of vacations taking away the june and july events, so i'm making it work as best i can.

how about yourself?
