Question E90 330i or Lexus GS300...

am about to buy a car next month and am sooooo confused about what am gonna buy this time, i have never tried a car from BMW before, so maybe this my first time to put it in my choices !

here in my country, the dealer didn't bring the Lexus IS so am now about to choose between the E90 330i and GS300...

they are almost in the same price range:

E90 330i (full loaded) is about $47,460
Lexus GS300 (full loaded) is about $50,600

the difference in price is not that much and i can afford to buy either one, so what do u think is worth to buy the E90 or the GS300..

it's hard to compare because the 2 cars are in different classes. Maybe you should be comparing the 5 series with the GS instead?? Like Natureboy said, if you want sporty then get the 330. If you want Luxury (and more room obviously), then get the GS.

i thought about the 5 series, but it costs too much here !! the 530i cost around $59,200 and it is too much for me !!

but which has better options ! i know that the sound system in the Lexus(Mark Levinson) is much better than that for the BMW, also there is a camera feature in the Lexus...this is what i remember right now !

it's hard to compare the 2 cars. The Lexus is bigger, more room, more luxury, and more reliable. It's a car I would go to the ball with. The 330 is something I would like to drive. It's a good commuter car. But is even better when you wanna take on a few twisties. The GS is a comfortable car: supple leather, very nice interior, and has that luxury feel. The E90 on the other hand is very well built, stable at high speed, and just a lot more fun to drive.

Seriously it's way too hard to compare the two. If you want a bigger car get the GS (period)

Its a simple decision

Your decision should not be based on "options" such as the sound system or NAV, etc. Both cars are completely different and drive completely different. The GS is a luxury cruiser. The BMW is the best compromise between sport and luxury. If you care more about the audio system than driving satisfaction, buy the Lexus with the Mark levinson system.

just test drive both cars a lot, then go with what feels right to you. your first instinct will be your best. its your car so you decide.

If you are looking for a fun car to drive go for The E90.
If you are looking for a reliable car go for the Lexus.
Its five months I have my E90 and already the rear suspension is defective.

If you want the true car experience, get the 330i. You can mod it; change wheels, add an intake, change exhaust, tint your windows, get a body kit...etc. However, you'll probably have fewer problems with the lexus as it is effectively a premium toyota. I personally don't like the GS much, love the 330i.

bmw all the way for 45K and under. if you are willing to spend more then go to a porsche. the 5 and 7 series don't even exist in my mind.

Is Lexus more reliable than BMW though?

That's the problem with BMW their reliability is not that good. I knew this prior to buying the car, but after taking it for a test drive it was hard to resist the temptation. I don't seem to be the only one. Five months its a bit to soon for me. I have suspension problem after only 3500 KM (you do the conversion in miles).

if u prefer manuals, stick with 330i, no manual option for GS300.
personally, would still stick with bmw anyway, or better still wait for 335i
