BMW PE for 128i

Greetings Sophisticates,

I searched for BMW PE with little info on BMW PE...

I'm seriously looking at ordering a BMW PE for my 128i. I'm one of those guys that likes ear candy, and generally, PEs look pretty good too.

Has anyone on here ordered and mounted a BMW PE on their 128i?

1. Was the mounting easy. Did it require sawing/cutting/welding?

2. I've mounted several catbacks on some of my old Mustangs, Jeeps, Trucks, and it was pretty straight forward, with no welding, sawing of any kind. Can the same be said for a BMW PE for a 128i?

3. Does the exhaust provide a significant difference than the OEM?

4. Do you feel a loss of low end torque due to the less restrictive exhaust?

Honest feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Tks/Cheers

I probably would have purchased and installed this by now if it was bolt on. Thanks for posting!

1. One cut is required but a sawzall makes quick work of it. No welding.

2. Except for the one cut, it is straight-forward to install. Installed it with a friend in his garage in about 30 minutes.

3. It does to me. It sounds great without being obtrusive.

4. I don't. It is just the back box so I don't think it reduces the backpressure that much.
