Dash Computer Acting Weird

Started yesterday. While Im driving my car, the dash computer (where it displays odometer and all the other info) started to cycle through all of the different options (MPG, trip, mileage left, etc...) on its own. Some times slow and others time really fast. if I manually try to change it, it only seems to make it worse.

I will see if I have any codes via my cobb accessport.

I tried to search this issue but don't even know what to call the problem.

If any one knows what it is please let me know. Thanks

Sounds like the switch itself might have an intermittent short in it.

If that doesn't work, call a priest.

I see your driving a 2008. If your still using the original battery than I'd bet it's the battery.
I was getting the same weird displays on my dash computer back in January. I took my car to the dealer for rear brakes and oil change and told them about it. They tested the voltage and said it was low and that was causing the wrong info in the dash computer. After install of the new battery all was good. Can't complain 6 1/2 years on the battery.

I hope its not battery as I just had it replaced last year. Right before that, the clock would reset everytime I started the car.

If you just replaced it then, yeah your good there unless you bought an aftermarket battery and did not have it registered to the car. That can cause a lot of issues. good luck.

Had my indy shop replace it. Im due for oil change so when I take it in I will have them look it over and see if they can make heads or tails or it.
