License Plate Holes Fixed!

As I posted not to long ago I bought my new 2011 135i. I didnt read up on the license plate holes until after I purchased the car. Of course there was a license plate mounted on my front bumper so I complained to the dealer and salesman and BMW of Ft Myers took care of it, great job if you ask me. Really happy with how it turned out. Thanks to Frank at Reeves BMW for taking my crap and Kim at BMW of Ft Myers for taking care of it for me.

Looks much better than those paint code matched bumper plugs sold by various companies.

You need to find out! You really do. I don't have holes from a plate but I do have an ugly little ding from someone else's plate screws tapping me when they parallel parked behind me. Whatever these guys did I'd sure like to repeat it!

I've done work like this, but - plastic mixed, filled in, cured, sanded, painted, dried all while in a waiting room drinking coffee? Normally this would be poked at here and there for a lot longer than that.

Are you certain this is how it goes or is it just a good guess? Maybe their epoxy just sets super quick and they use a little extra hardener? And happen to have all the BMW colors on hand ready to go? Could be, I don't know. Just... feels... really quick. Maybe they're set up for it and are that good.

Dude I had to sit in the waiting room for 4-5 hours. Lol. I never meant to imply it was a 30 minute quick job. Point is it looks fantastic and was worth the wait, and was free for me.

If you could figure out what method they used that would be great. I'd like to have my dealer do it the same way. I hate the holes in my bumper!!!

Looks flawless... Yeah, they definitely used body filler and spot painted & clearcoated it. Likely sanded it down (lightly) and buffed it all out together at the end so that it would blend in. That color isn't too hard to match perfectly.

I've repaired paint chips (down to the metal) on my own car with similar results

Nice work, that's for sure. Report back to us in 6 months and let us know if it holds up or not.

Garage List
How did this hold up? I am thinking of asking my local CCRC to perform this.
