So strongly considering letting the N54 E82 go and moving to a 2023 M4 Competition XDrive. The speed is intoxicating and the tech is fantastic. Does not have the soul and analog feel of the 1er, but it may be time. I’ve got until the weekend to decide and was able to get $3,000 off MSRP.

The 2023 M4 Competition XDrive is a lardass (4000lbs) by pretty any measure. I'd personally miss the relatively light weight and nimbleness of the E82.

I pulled the trigger on the G82 yesterday. Really appreciate the 1er community and it will be missed.

That’s a huge jump in money during a period where Dealerships are giving us less to nothing for a trade in ..but keeping the price super high on their inventory ..same car in 6 months will be less and used 20k less in a year or so .. easy.

Was able to get 4% off invoice and they also met my price on the trade. Overall I felt comfortable pulling the trigger and incurring the cost. Bucket list car for me, but the 1 series will be missed.

The 135i is only 500lbs or so lighter. I'd say for the AWD, increase in size, and all the new stuff it's actually not particularly heavy compared to the 135.

I read that prices of cars are starting to come down.
I think the article I read in the WSJ said "premium sedans" in particular were getting discounted.
People are still falling all over themselves to buy SUVs and pickups so it will probably take a while to see some price softening of those cars.
